Meet our Team – Paresh Kerai

Welcome to our latest meet the team blog.

Today we introduce Paresh Kerai who joined Bedford in 2015. Paresh is a Principal Solutions Architect and in his spare time likes road biking and playing football. He’s also a passionate Liverpool fan and enjoys taking his family on day trips to national trust properties.

What made you consider joining Bedford?

I joined Bedford because I had been consulting at another company implementing planning solutions. I had crossed paths with one of the founders before and he contacted me and showed me a demo of Anaplan and I was sold!

What are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve had the chance to work on numerous use cases with many companies across different industries.

What’s your favourite part of working at Bedford?

My favourite part of working at Bedford is every day bringing a new challenge, and it’s great to be able to find solutions for our customers using a first-class platform.

Describe Bedford in three words

If I had to describe Bedford in 3 words, they would be dynamic, innovative and engaging.

What’s the company like? How would you describe the team culture?

Bedford is a great company to work for, with people that have the expertise and skills to help you solve any problems that you may be encountering.

How would you describe a typical day?

There isn’t a typical day at Bedford, you just need to adapt and move between projects and manage your time effectively.

What is the biggest challenge that someone in this position would face?

Challenges can sometimes arise when the direction of the project changes at short notice however the adaptability of the product helps us to rectify and continue building quickly.

What did you wish you knew before joining Bedford?

I have come from a systems and IT background and sometimes in the past I felt that I needed more finance experience. However, every use case has been different, you learn from it, and it’s never really been an issue for me.

What’s the most important skill that someone will need to succeed as a consultant?

The most important skill is to learn from past projects and it’s these experiences which will help you visualise how to design or solve something.

What have you learned in the last six months?

You are constantly learning as the Anaplan product keeps evolving and growing. I have always loved maths and more recently on a client engagement, I got to learn more about the numerous forecasting statistical methods available.

Why do you stay at Bedford?

Staying at Bedford gives me an opportunity to carry on with what I enjoy doing and that is coming up with technical ideas on how to design solutions.
