Planning under pressure. You’re not alone.

Every CFO we speak to across the Nordics is facing the same challenge: the world changes faster than the planning cycle can keep up. Forecasts are out of date before the board sees them. Scenario planning takes weeks when it needs to take hours. And the tools most mid-market finance teams rely on weren’t built for this level of volatility.

The CFO Foresight Circle is a small, closed-door peer group for senior finance leaders who want to change that, starting with an honest conversation about what’s working, what’s breaking, and what the smartest finance teams are doing differently.

What this is

A focused, facilitated roundtable discussion with 8–12 senior finance leaders from mid-market businesses across the Nordics. No presentations or product pitches, and no death by PowerPoint.

Instead, it’s a structured conversation between peers who are navigating the same planning challenges in an increasingly unpredictable environment.

The session runs under Chatham House Rule: everything discussed stays in the room, attributed to no one. That’s what makes the conversation worth having.

What we’ll discuss

The discussion will be anchored around three questions:

1. When was the last time a plan survived contact with reality — and what did you wish you’d been able to do differently?

2. Where are you spending the most manual effort right now just to keep forecasts credible?

3. If you could see one thing in real time that you currently can’t, what would it be?

These are starting points, not a rigid agenda. The conversation will go where the group needs it to. Previous topics raised by finance leaders in similar sessions include scenario planning under tariff uncertainty, reducing the re-forecast cycle, breaking down silos between finance and operations, and the practical realities of moving beyond Excel.

What you’ll take away

Peer perspective.

Hear how other mid-market finance leaders across the Nordics are tackling the same challenges you face, what’s working for them, what isn’t, and what they’d do differently.

Practical insight.

A summary of key themes and actionable takeaways from the discussion, shared with attendees after the event.

An ongoing network.

This is the founding session of the CFO Foresight Circle in the Nordics. Attendees will be invited to future sessions as part of a continuing peer community - no obligation, but the option is there for those who find it valuable.

Dinner on us.

The evening includes drinks and a sit-down dinner at the venue. Come for the conversation, stay for the food.

What’s expected of you

Nothing except an open mind and a willingness to share. There’s no preparation required, no pre-reading, and no pressure to speak on every topic. Some attendees will have a lot to say; others will prefer to listen and reflect. Both are equally welcome.

The only ask: what’s shared in the room stays in the room.

Who this is for

The CFO Foresight Circle is designed for CFOs, Finance Directors, and senior finance leaders at mid-market businesses operating across the Nordics. We’re deliberately keeping the group small to ensure a genuine peer conversation; not a conference panel.

Places are limited to 15. We review every registration to ensure the right mix of seniority, sector, and experience around the table. If the session isn’t the right fit, we’ll let you know and suggest an alternative.
